Hybrid System with Battery

A hybrid system does everything an on-grid system does, and adds a battery so the house keeps running when the grid goes down.

Be clear-eyed about the cost. The battery is the expensive part and it is the part that wears out — lithium packs are warranted for around ten years, lead-acid for far less. If your area gets a handful of short cuts a year, an on-grid system and an inverter you already own is better value.

If cuts are frequent, or you run something that genuinely cannot stop, the maths changes and this is the right system.

We size the battery to your essential load — lights, fans, router, one fridge — not the whole house. Backing up an air conditioner is possible and expensive, and we would rather tell you the number before you order than after.
