A geyser is one of the hungriest things in an Indian home, and a solar water heater removes most of that load for a fraction of what a panel system costs.
It is a completely separate thing from rooftop panels — no inverter, no meter, no paperwork. Water runs through evacuated tubes on the roof, heats up, and sits in an insulated tank. On a clear Nagpur day it is hot by mid-morning and still warm the next dawn.
On a cloudy stretch in monsoon you will still need the backup element, and every tank we fit has one. Anyone who tells you otherwise has not lived through a Nagpur July.
For a family of four, 200 litres is the usual size and it typically pays for itself in two to three years.
