This is what most people mean when they say they want solar.
An on-grid system runs alongside your existing MSEDCL connection. During the day the panels supply the house and anything spare is exported to the grid, spinning your meter backwards. At night you draw from the grid as normal. At the end of the billing cycle you pay only for the difference, which for a correctly sized system is close to nothing.
There is no battery, which is why it is the cheapest way to cut a bill — and also why it does not work during a power cut. If you want backup, look at the hybrid system instead.
WHAT IS INCLUDED: panels, a grid-tied inverter, galvanised mounting structure, DC and AC cabling, earthing, lightning arrestor, and the full net-metering application with MSEDCL. We also file your subsidy claim under the PM Surya Ghar scheme and follow it up until it lands in your account.
SIZING, ROUGHLY: 1 kW generates about 4 units a day averaged across the year in Nagpur, and needs about 80 sq ft of shade-free roof. A house using 300 units a month usually wants 2-3 kW. Send us a recent bill and we will size it properly.
